What happens during a massage? A typical massage usually lasts about 30 minutes. Your cat or dog may take a while to settle down or may require a break during the session to stretch. Animals can enjoy massage standing, sitting or laying down. Your animal will determine how long the session will last and where they want to be touched. The massage is usually performed in your home, which is not only convenient but helps to maintain the comfort of your animal. When should my animal not have a massage? There are times when massage is not appropriate. Some of these include acute pain, trauma, cancer, and infection/inflammation in your pet. If your pet has a medical condition, you should consult your veterinarian before massage is applied. Massage does not take the place of veterinary care. How much will it cost? $30-40 per session (up to 30 minutes) $40-50 per multi-animal session (up to 1 hour) Workshops – group or individual – (from $35 per person)
